Brent Seevers is an award winning artist who portrays life of the Midwest. His work depicts classic figures, people, portraits, gardens, parks, urban and rural scenery. With the figurative and the landscape as his pride and inspiration, the valley area of Northwest Missouri is his most notable subject.
Occassionally painting Kansas City, Seevers' inspirations are most often found in or near Saint Joseph, Missouri, a city nestled in the bluffs and along the high riverbanks of the Missouri River. A historic city that has its origins since 1826. The land nearby has many characteristics for an artist to portray; with high overlooking river bluffs, flowing creeks, rolling hills, and flat river bottoms. It is a place where the four seasons exhibit their defining features---having white winters, colorful springs, green summers, and bright autumns. This landscape offers many palletes for one to choose.
