Brent Seevers is a Modern Impressionist from Saint Joseph, Missouri. He is a painter, pastelist, and charcoalist in the fine art of painting and drawing. In his work he portrays the figurative and landscape of the river valley region in Northwest Missouri.
Much of Brent's inspirations are found in or near St. Joseph, a city in which he was born and raised. The city is a historic place nestled in the bluffs and along the high riverbanks of the Missouri River. A city that has its origins since 1826, filled with rich architecture, parks, and other heritages. The land nearby has many characteristics with high river bluffs, flowing creeks, rolling hills, and flat river bottoms.
Seevers is among the Impressionists of the Kansas City area, an area where he often paints and exhibits work. He is a leading member of the Missouri Valley Impressionist Society in which he co-founded. Like many of his fellow artists, he captures the moments in this day and age, often painting urban and rural scenes that surround him---life of the Midwest.
